What Does P Mean?

P means "Player," "Money / Pence," and "Methamphetamine."

Player

On social media and chat forums (especially on TikTok), P is an abbreviation of the slang word "player", in its positive context (i.e., a person, an action, or an attitude that is cool, positive, or admirable. For example:

OK, I'll give you that. Keanu Reeves is probably still a bit P, but Bryan Adams? No way Nelly!
The Dems are boring, but the Republicans are so un-P they invented a 25-letter alphabet just for them.

Someone who is displaying P can be said the be "Pushin P."

Money / Pence

P is also used as a slang term for money. This use of P comes from the UK, where the pence (the smallest unit of currency) is referred to and written as p. For example:

The coke machine won't take 50p coins.
Bring plenty of P. This could be a long night.

Methamphetamine

P is also used as an abbreviation of the word pure, which is a slang term for the base form of methamphetamine. For example:

Come on over. I've got enough P to refloat the Titanic.
