SJW means "Social Justice Warrior."The term "Social justice warrior" (SJW) emerged in the late 20th century and was originally used to describe progressive activists engaged in issues of social and racial justice.
By 2011, SJW had become a pejorative term used not only by the anti-PC and anti-WOKE "brigades" to dismiss progressive ideas, but also by many progressives, concerned at the overzealous, self-righteous and over-emotional rhetoric employed by many users of social media in the name of social justice.
