What Does SOLID Mean?
SOLID means "dependable" or "stupid." It is also an acronym for five principles of software design.Here is more information about each of these definitions with examples.
Dependable
The word solid is widely used as a slang term, meaning "dependable" or reliable. For example:- Ali and Jo are solid. They'll watch your back.
Stupid
Especially in the UK, solid is also used to mean "stupid." For example:- Ali and Jo are solid. You can blame everything on them.
Software Design Principles
In software design and development, SOLID is an acronym that stands for five key design principles used by software engineers:- S - Single-responsibility principle.
- O - Open-closed principle.
- L - Liskov substitution principle.
- I - Interface segregation principle.
- D - Dependency inversion principle.
